If you are considering buying one of our luxurious steam showers or whirlpool baths there will be questions that you need answers to. Below is a list of questions and answers that you may find helpful in aiding you to have more confidence with your purchase.
Q. What are the electrical requirements?
A. You will need to consult an electrician if you want to place the socket in the bathroom, otherwise you will require a standard 13 amp socket if outside the bathroom. If you have a whirlpool then you will need 2 sockets.
Q. Can I run the steam shower from my combination boiler?
A. Yes. As combi boilers have pressure that is adequate to 2 bars. You may be required to fit a thermostatic valve to equalise the hot and cold water pressure. This is because the water pressure on combi boilers can fluctuate.
Q. If I don’t have a combination boiler can I run the steam shower from another system?
A. Yes. Modern combi boilers and unvented hot water systems should be ok. On all high pressure water systems pressure reducing valve should be used on the cold otherwise the thermostat will malfunction due to uneven supply pressure. Tank fed systems may require a pump that is equivalent to 2 bar.
Q. How much water pressure do I need?
A. You will need between 1.5 and 4.0 bars of pressure to run the shower.
Q. Do you offer a professional installation service?
A. Yes we do. Our installation team have been fully trained in building up the units to the highest standard. They are informed of all new features and are trained on how to install them.
